Pagination skip link to listing

pagination-skip-link-to-listing

Pagination: skip-link (or in-page link) back to the listing; optional page-number field when there are many pages; SR copy without odd punctuation (“Sivu 1 kautta 20”). Dual-cite USWDS/NSW pagination.

Description

Suomi.fi pagination provides a skip-link or in-page link back to the listing, may include an optional page-number field when there are many pages, and keeps screen-reader copy free of odd punctuation (for example “Sivu 1 kautta 20”). Dual-cite USWDS/NSW pagination. Pagination with no return to the listing start, or SR text that uses odd punctuation instead of the named pattern, fails.

When to use

Paginating long listings where users return to the top of results.

Not when

Single-page lists with no pagination controls.

Agent hint

Add a skip/in-page link back to the listing; keep SR page copy free of odd punctuation.

Pass

A skip/in-page link returns to the listing; many-page sets may include a page-number field; SR text avoids odd punctuation.

Fail

Pagination has no way back to the listing start; SR copy uses odd punctuation instead of the named pattern.
