Description
Focus must stay in the current day, month, or year field until the user moves it. Never auto-tab into the next segment when one is completed; automatic jumps surprise keyboard and assistive-tech users and cause mistyped dates. Let people move between segments themselves. Fail if finishing a segment automatically jumps focus to the next. Apply whenever you implement segmented day/month/year date inputs.
