Toast at most one action

toast-at-most-one-action

At most one action — a static white, secondary, outline button; concise; only when the action is directly related to the toast text.

Description

Spectrum toasts allow at most one action: a static white secondary outline button, concise, and only when it relates directly to the toast text. Two or more actions, or an unrelated control on the toast, overloads a low-priority surface. Prefer zero or one related action; move broader recovery or navigation into the page or a dialog.

When to use

Adding an optional action on a confirmation or status toast.

Not when

Multi-step recovery flows or unrelated actions that belong in the page.

Agent hint

Limit toast actions to zero or one related concise secondary outline button.

Pass

Zero or one related concise action, styled as that secondary outline control.

Fail

Two or more toast actions, or an unrelated action on the toast.
