One CTA per screen

one-cta-per-screen

One Call to Action per screen — CTA usually appears alone, command-like (landing/welcome); may be as wide as its parent. Distinct from one-primary-in-a-group.

Description

Ant’s one Call to Action per screen is for command-like landing or welcome surfaces: the CTA usually appears alone and may span its parent width. It is distinct from limiting Primary inside a button group elsewhere in the product. Use it when composing that landing or welcome command, not ordinary multi-action toolbars. Fail multiple competing CTAs on that landing or welcome screen.

When to use

Composing a landing or welcome screen with a main command CTA.

Not when

In-app button groups — that is one-primary-per-group, not screen CTA.

Agent hint

Give landing/welcome screens one CTA alone; do not stack several CTAs.

Pass

Landing/welcome (command-like) screen has one CTA, usually alone; may span its parent.

Fail

Multiple CTAs on that landing/welcome screen.
