Picker minimum width 2× height
picker-min-width-2x-height
Minimum width 2× field-button height — quiet pickers have no minimum; width follows text.
Description
Spectrum sets a minimum width of twice the field-button height for non-quiet pickers so the control remains hittable and the value stays readable. Quiet pickers have no minimum and let width follow the text. Do not invent an in-house minimum for quiet variants, and do not shrink a standard picker below that 2× height ratio. Use this when sizing pickers in forms and action rows; skip it for quiet text-following layouts.
When to use
Sizing standard Spectrum pickers for usable hit targets and readable values.
Not when
Quiet pickers, whose width follows text with no minimum.
Agent hint
Keep non-quiet pickers ≥2× field-button height; let quiet width follow text.
Non-quiet picker width is at least 2× field-button height. Quiet picker width follows text (no minimum).
Non-quiet picker narrower than 2× height, or a quiet-picker minimum invented in-house.
