Inline input feedback does not auto dismiss
inline-input-feedback-does-not-auto-dismiss
Inline input feedback does not auto-dismiss — text follows the block; stays until the user performs the corresponding interaction.
Description
Inline input feedback follows the field block and must not auto-dismiss on a timer. It stays until the user performs the corresponding interaction—such as fixing the value or clearing the error. Auto-dismissing inline feedback can vanish before it is read or acted on, leaving the person without guidance. Use lasting inline messages for field feedback; reserve timed dismissal for separate toast patterns that are meant to fade.
When to use
Showing Ant inline validation or input feedback beside a field.
Not when
Transient toasts that are meant to auto-dismiss by design.
Agent hint
Keep inline input feedback visible until the matching user interaction occurs.
Inline input feedback stays until the corresponding interaction.
