Prominent Done or assumed next

actions.prominent_done_or_assumed_next

Place the control that finishes the transaction (or the assumed next step) at the end of the visual flow; make it prominent and well labeled.

Description

The control that finishes the transaction—or the assumed next step—belongs at the end of the visual flow, prominent and well labeled. A weak, unlabeled, or mid-flow finish control stalls completion and makes people hunt for how to done. Place it where reading and form fill naturally end, with clear emphasis. Use this on linear commits; freeform canvases without a single done step are a different layout problem.

When to use

Transaction or multi-step flows that end in a clear done or next step.

Not when

Open-ended canvases with no single finish or assumed-next control.

Agent hint

Place a prominent, well-labeled finish or next control at the flow’s end.

Pass

Finish / assumed-next sits at the end of the visual flow, is prominent, and is well labeled.

Fail

That control is weak, unlabeled, or not at the end of the flow.
