Description
Do not use native `<select multiple>`—keyboard and VoiceOver on Safari cannot operate it reliably. Use checkboxes for multi-pick instead so every person can select several options. Fail when native `<select multiple>` is the control for multi-choice. Prefer an explicit checkbox group whenever more than one option may be chosen. Apply when offering a multi-select choice set in a form.
When to use
Offering a multi-select choice set in a form.
Not when
Not for single-select dropdowns that correctly use ordinary select.
