Multilevel undo

actions.multilevel_undo

Let the user reverse a series of actions, not only the last one.

Description

Undo should reverse a series of actions, not only the last one, so stacked mistakes remain recoverable. Last-action-only undo, or no undo at all, leaves earlier mistakes stuck after a longer editing session. Provide multilevel undo in multi-step editing where history accumulates. A single atomic action may only need one undo step; depth matters when several changes stack.

When to use

Editing flows where mistakes stack across multiple steps.

Not when

Single-step views where last-action undo already covers all risk.

Agent hint

Support multilevel undo so more than the last action can be reversed.

Pass

More than the last action can be reversed.

Fail

No undo, or only last-action undo.
