HTML autocomplete and name

forms.inputs.html_autocomplete_and_name

Give inputs `autocomplete` and a meaningful `name`.

Description

Inputs need both `autocomplete` and a meaningful `name`. Pass when those attributes are present and the name is meaningful; fail when `autocomplete` is missing or `name` is missing or meaningless. This supports browser autofill and assistive tooling without inventing extra attributes beyond the cited forms guidance. Apply to HTML controls browsers or password managers may fill.

When to use

HTML form controls that browsers or password managers may autofill.

Not when

Non-HTML or custom controls without name/autocomplete attributes.

Agent hint

Set autocomplete and a meaningful name on every relevant input.

Pass

Inputs have `autocomplete` and a meaningful `name`.

Fail

Missing `autocomplete` or missing/meaningless `name`.
