This is format-as-you-type feedback, dual-cited with NN/g success-for-complex guidance, not a spam success state on any filled required field. Showing valid for any characters, or omitting it when the format already matches, misses the intent. Reserve the icon for real format match.
When to use
Email, card, or password-rule fields that validate format as the user types.
Not when
Plain required fields that only need any non-empty value, not format success.
Agent hint
Show the valid icon when format matches; never for merely filling a required field.
Format-constrained fields show the valid icon when the typed value matches, not merely because a required field has any characters.
