When a label/control pair feels awkward, present the request as a short sentence with blanks to fill in. Pass when those awkward pairs are recast that way; fail when the request stays a disconnected label-plus-blank where a sentence-blank pattern would fit. Use the sentence form to make the ask readable without inventing new requirements beyond the cited pattern.
When to use
Label-plus-blank pairs read awkwardly as disconnected controls.
